BLACK UNITY Art Print - Elizabeth Catlett
$35.00
This smooth, wooden sculpture, Black Unity (1968), is emblematic of Catlett’s shift toward abstracted human forms. The raised fist became a powerful symbol of the Black Power Movement, which supported notions of strength, community, black identity, and self-determination. This work was featured in the monumental exhibition Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power organized at the Tate Modern in 2017.
