Ancient Persians used elegant gooseneck vessels to hold rosewater, which was sprinkled on food, cosmetics, and medicine. Tiffany likely saw them and used them for inspiration. His designs pushed the envelope using his favrile glass with its captivating, iridescent, bold colors and patterning. All were hand-blown in Tiffany’s studio in Corona, Queens, NY.
